“I had gotten into the best physical shape of my life by my 40th birthday (October 2018), but I was extremely unhappy.
I was unhappy at work, with where I lived, and with the way I was handling the relationships in my life. I would push myself to unhealthy extremes to avoid this, even though I appeared to be in great shape. When the pandemic happened I started to make the changes I needed to in those critical areas of my life, but I let my physical well-being decline. First we focused on leaning out and building muscle. In three months I had dropped two inches around my waist and gained 7lbs of lean muscle. I was feeling fantastic! I had to retrain my mind and build some different habits about food, recovery, consistency, and mental toughness. I was ready for a new challenge and experimented with bulking up and lifting heavy. I was able to move more weight than I ever had before and gained a total of 20lbs over 6 months. #BEEFY Which was a huge win for me, since I had always been the 'skinny kid'. I felt knowledgeable, empowered, and strong - both physically and mentally.
Now, even though I am training on my own and my goals have changed, I can move forward confidently because of the tools Sawyer gave me and taught me how to use. Sawyer is unlike any other fitness coach out there. His heart is just as big as his mind, seconded only by his biceps and quads!”
